LFP #43: The Sasquatch Festival Dancing Guy
On this Live Fix Podcast episode we revisit one of the most talked about concert viral videos. A video that has more than 23 million views on YouTube and is still talked about 13 years later here in 2022. A concert moment that captured the attention of not only concert fans but also Ted Talks, entrepreneurs, leadership thought leaders and corporate training teams. It’s a concert moment that back in 2009, intrigued me and got me thinking differently about what inspires and motivates concerts fans to spontaneously start a massive dance party at a major music festival. That’s right, we’re going to catch up with Collin Wynter AKA the Sasquatch Festival “Dancing Guy”.
We talk about his side of this unforgettable live music story as he shares what he thinks about Derek Sivers’s 2010 Ted Talk and the Nine Inch Nails backstory that led to the legendary concert moment. Collin tells us how self expression, dance, and yoga inspire his passion for live music and life, and he shares live music stories from his most memorable shows by Peaches, Tunes-Yards, Ozzy Osbourne, Propaghandi and KISS, and he tells us why he wishes he could’ve seen Freddie Mercury perform live. Enjoy the show!
